Ty Reynolds and his sister Paige flying a kite Wednesday afternoon during the Kite Flying Extravaganza at Centennial Park.
Another Kite Flying Day has come and gone and if you missed it this year, please plan on attending next year's 23rd Annual Kite Day. The Kingman Daily Miner along with the support of the Kingman Elks Lodge #468, True Value, Kingman Regional Medical Center provided kites and Frisbees for kids and adults. The Elks Lodge provided hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone.
We would also like to thank Deputy Troy Schmotzer, D.A.R.E. Instructor - Mohave County Sheriff's Office, Chris Weaver, Fire Prevention Specialist from the Kingman Fire Department, Sgt. David Reif and Officer Eric A. Urquijo, Sr., Kingman Police Department, KPD Explorer Post #47 Lead Advisor and the following Explorer's: Explorer Sergeant Michelle Finis, Explorer Bryan Sengdeng, Explorer Jennifer Wilkerson, Explorer Morgan Brooks, McGruff the Crime Dog: Explorer Mahina Makaiwi-Urquijo.
Without everyone's continued support of this event, it would not be possible to provide such a fun day for kids to just go out and fly a kite.
We'll see you next year in May.
