KINGMAN - The Mohave County School Gardening/Agriculture in the Classroom program is asking parents, teachers, principals, volunteers and sponsors to come test their pent knowledge during Plant Jeopardy at the on-campus School Garden Open Houses at La Senita Elementary School and Kingman Academy of Learning Intermediate School this month.
This year's final lesson includes the answers to such questions as "What a plant needs to grow," "What's a plant's purpose," "What is the only vegetable always sold fresh," "What is the only fruit with seeds on the outside," and "In what state was the first Arbor Day celebration held?"
The Gardeners Student Club at La Senita will host the first open house from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at La Senita Elementary School, 3175 Gordon Drive.
The Green Team Student Club at KAOL Intermediate will hold their open house from 4:15 to 5 p.m. May 14 at the school, 3419 Harrison Ave.
