Kingman High School recently held its prom. For approximately 100 students, prom would not have been possible without the many donations from the community in response to the letter I submitted on March 9. The response of donations was amazing!
To the 40 individuals, clubs, and businesses that donated money for prom tickets - thank you for making it possible for these students to attend their prom. I hope you each received your thank you letters from KHS.
To the countless people that donated prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, suits, shirts, ties, etc. - thank you for providing our students with the proper attire for prom. So many items came to the school without names that it was difficult to keep track of who donated which item. Please know that your donated items are very much appreciated.
To the restaurants that donated free meals so that our students could dine out free prior to prom - thank you! These restaurants were Calico's, Lombardo's, Dora's Beale Street, and the Dam Bar. To Dr. and Mrs. Sullivan - thank you for preparing a gourmet meal for four of our lucky students.
To Toni's Dry Cleaners - words cannot express our gratitude to your business for dry cleaning free the prom attire for so many of our students - thank you!
To Mrs. Mickelson, our principal at KHS - thank you for allowing us to host Prom Fair in the school cafeteria. It's the best location for us to serve and provide our students with their prom needs.
A special thanks to Mrs. Jackson, Venture Club, the S Club and HSU members for helping with prom fair. Prom Fair would not have been possible without your help.
If I missed anyone, my apologies.
I have to end with this - Kingman is a great place to live with many generous people who support our students. Thank you!
