Kingman Letter: Thanks for a successful River Cities United Way golf tourney

Thank you to Kingman businesses and golfers for your contributions to the success of the third annual golf tournament benefiting River Cities United Way in Kingman.

The local arm of River Cities United Way extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in our golf tournament held on May 19 at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course. Thanks to you, the tournament was an overwhelming success.

We must first thank our event sponsors, UniSource Energy Services, Mohave State Bank, True Value, SuddenLink, NUCOR Bar Mill Group, Cascades Tissue, Mineral Park Mines, AZ Petroleum, Desert Construction and American Woodmark. In addition, we also thank McKee Foods, Swire Coca Cola, SERVPRO, AZ Desert Dermatology, and Enterprise Rent A Car for helping us assemble amazing give-away bags for our golfers. I also add words of appreciation to the staff at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course for doing a wonderful job hosting the event.

Many local businesses and individuals lent their support by donating raffle prizes for the event. Thank you to Sirens' Café, The Cellar Door, Lombardo's, Calico's, Tee'd Off Golf Shop, Mike Hopper and Ted Stinson. Out of town raffle prize donors include Emerald Canyon Golf Course, the Blue Water Resort and the Blue Willow Restaurant in Parker. Thanks also to The Drury Inn and Suites in Flagstaff and the Refuge Golf Club and Resort in Lake Havasu.

Last, but certainly not least, a special thank you to every golfer who participated and to every volunteer who worked to make this event happen. The proceeds from this event will help fund local programs that provide services to people and families who need help right here in our community. We hope you had a great time and that you will look forward to participating in this event in 2013.
