Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Julie Lynn Cope, 33, of Kingman on Thursday on a felony warrant for shoplifting issued by Maricopa County Superior Court in October. Deputies contacted Cope around 8 p.m. at a residence in the 3600 block of East Lum Avenue regarding her active warrant. She was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

A Mohave County Jail inmate has been charged with stealing items and pawning them before being incarcerated. The victim contacted Mohave County Sheriff's deputies after locating some of his tools and equipment at a pawnshop. The items were stolen from the man's home in the 4800 block of Famoso Drive in October. Deputies learned that Travis Davis pawned the items. He was contacted at the jail and allegedly told deputies that he took the items because he didn't think the victim would notice they were gone. Davis was charged with four felony counts of trafficking in stolen property.

Mohave County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Units responded Friday to the Cerbat Mountains to rescue a 73-year-old Kingman man. Search and Rescue Units responded to the area of Voch Canyon in the Cerbat Mountains west of Stockton Hill Road near milepost 16 around 2:30 p.m. after receiving a report that the man had been hiking with a friend in the early morning but had become dehydrated and was unable to make it down the steep mountain. The man was located about 200 feet down from the top of a ridge. The Department of Public Safety Kingman Air Rescue Ranger responded and a rescuer rappelled down to haul the man to safety. The man was treated and released at the scene by medical personnel.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Richard Eugene Polley, 60, of Golden Valley on Saturday for aggravated DUI, aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08 percent, aggravated extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15 percent and aggravated super extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .20 percent, all felonies. Deputies responded around 12:30 p.m. to a suspicious incident outside of a business located in the 5100 block of Highway 68 where a man appearing to be intoxicated drove over a curb. Upon arrival, deputies observed a Chevy S-10 truck parked over the curb and facing down a hill in front of a store. Golden Valley Fire Department personnel were already on scene talking to the man, identified as Polley. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Polley and he allegedly admitted to drinking beer earlier. Witnesses said they saw Polley driving the vehicle despite his assertion that a friend had been driving but left. Polley was arrested without incident and transported to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office where a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) test showed him to be over .20 percent. A blood sample was taken from Polley to be submitted to the Department of Public Safety Crime Lab for further analysis. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Edwin Lee Johnson, 53, of Kingman on Saturday for felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies contacted Johnson around 8:45 p.m. during a traffic stop on Charles Drive and Diagonal Way. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a glass pipe with residue. Johnson was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
