Kingman Letter: Thanks to Rednecks Southern Pit BBQ

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me (Matthew 25:35).

On Thanksgiving Day, Rednecks Southern Pit BBQ opened their restaurant to feed the less fortunate in our community. I would like to thank Bubba and Tammy Floyd for graciously letting us prepare the Thanksgiving dinner and serve 339 people.

Special thanks to all our volunteers and local businesses that graciously donated to this worthy cause: Jamie Taylor and Kingman Regional Medical Center, John Kirby and The Lingenfelter Center, The Gardens, Desert Road Riders Motorcycle Club, Saint Mary's Catholic Church Parishioners, St. Vincent de Paul Volunteers, Grand Knight Thomas Curtis and Knights of Columbus Bingo players, Boy Scout Troop 145, and all the volunteers: Andie Arellano, Karen Manion, Tera Vander Linden, Fernando Velez and family, Murel Despres, Kurtis Kerr, Corey Mitchell, Karl Martin, Jewell Martin, Jody Millward, Robbi Gunter, Mary Smith, Mr. Beach, Arlene Potash, Renee Zielke, Joanne Marquez, Bubba and Tammy's grandchildren, our photographer Ryan Mastin, and ice cream server Lauren Mastin.

Words cannot express how one feels when someone thanks you for the dinner and says, "if it wasn't for you providing this dinner, I would not have anything to eat today."

Please support and thank the local businesses and volunteers.
