Kingman Police arrested Carlos Alonso Gomez, 30, of West Covina, Calif., Aug. 25 on a felony warrant for military desertion out of Kentucky. Gomez was the driver of a vehicle stopped in the 3600 block of Stockton Hill Road around 1:50 a.m. for a traffic offense. Upon discovery of the warrant, Gomez was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail on a fugitive from justice hold. He is awaiting extradition from military authorities
Kingman Police arrested Larry Edwin Miller, 42 of Kingman Aug. 27 on felony charges of fraud, possession of a stolen credit card and possession of dangerous drugs. Miller was arrested after officers arrived at a store in the 3300 block of Stockton Hill Road around 6 p.m. and discovered that Miller was making fraudulent returns. During his arrest, Miller was also reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and another person's credit card. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives arrested Patrick Richard Martin, 56, of Kingman Aug. 28 for felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. MAGNET detectives contacted Martin as he was riding a bicycle in the 3600 block of Cardinal Lane around 1:30 p.m. A consent search of Martin reportedly revealed a glass pipe with residue and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. During conversations with Martin, he allegedly said that he didn't know the drugs were in his pants and that his friend gave him the drugs. Martin was arrested without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
