A suspected rug thief told authorities that he was drunk when he burglarized a business on US 93 last month.
Andrew Ryan Tarvin, 18, reportedly realized he had committed the theft when he woke up at a friend's house the morning after the burglary on Aug. 25 and was surrounded by the evidence.
Six of the nine rugs were recovered. The total value of the stolen items was about $1,100.
The owner of the business, which is located in the 17700 block of Highway 93, reported seeing Tarvin fleeing the scene with the rugs.
Tarvin was booked into the Mohave County Jail on felony charges of burglary after authorities were able to locate him.
