On April 18, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brandon James Rhys Stott, 18, of Kingman for felony possession of drug paraphernalia, an outstanding felony warrant for probation violation issued out of Mohave County Superior Court, and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended driver's license and a misdemeanor probation violation warrant issued out of Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies tried to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Stott at about 11:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of Packard Avenue. Stott tried to run but didn't get far before he was apprehended. A search of Stott's vehicle reportedly yielded several items used to smoke methamphetamine and marijuana along with items police believe were stolen from homes and vehicles inside the city limits. Kingman Police responded to the scene and the items were booked into evidence.
On April 20, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Angel Lee Cope, 28, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated domestic violence. Deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 3600 block of Diagonal Way at about 8 p.m. When they arrived they could hear a woman yelling. A man who was in the home told police that Cope had broken several items and had cut herself. A record check showed Cope has been convicted of domestic violence on five occasions over the past three years. She was booked into the Mohave County jail after receiving treatment at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
On April 20, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested three California residents on felony fraud and theft charges. Eric Lenon Hart, 28, Kiwonna Shantaye Lee, 30, and Kimberly Yolanda Gulley, 41, were arrested on charges of trafficking in stolen property and possession of stolen property. Hart and Lee were also charged with fraud. At about 9 p.m., a business in the 3000 block of Northern Avenue reported two people tried to purchase items with a stolen credit card. The caller gave deputies a description of the people and the car they were driving. Shortly thereafter, the trio was stopped in the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road. Stolen credit cards, items purchased with them and receipts showing the cards were used to make the purchases were reportedly found in the vehicle. They were taken into custody without incident.
On April 20, Julie Anne Robinson, 50, of Kingman was arrested in the 3500 block of Warbler Avenue on a felony warrant for failure to appear and two misdemeanor warrants for interfering with judicial proceeds in Kingman Justice and Municipal court. She was taken into custody without incident.
On Monday, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Paul Vernon Swartz, 57, on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Santa Barbara County, Calif., on an original charge of probation violation. Swartz is a transient. He was taken into custody without incident at about 11:45 a.m. in the 3500 block of Lark Lane.
On Tuesday, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dwayne Steven Bass, 43, of Kingman on a failure to appear felony warrant issued out of Mohave County Superior Court, along with two misdemeanor probation violation warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies pulled over Bass in the 2300 block of Northern Avenue at about 1 p.m. A record check revealed the outstanding warrants.
