Mohave 911: August 12, 2013

On Aug. 1, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Alisha Melinda Urie, 24, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. A Golden Valley man who was with Urie was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of failure to show driver's license or identification. At about 5 a.m., deputies spotted a vehicle speeding in a residential area and followed it until it stopped in the driveway of a home in the 3100 block of Hearne Avenue. A male and female quickly exited the vehicle before deputies made contact. A record check revealed the warrant and a search of Urie's backpack reportedly revealed syringes, cotton swabs, and a pipe with burnt marijuana residue. Inside a tin container deputies reportedly found marijuana and a white crystal substance. Urie and the 32-year-old man were taken into custody without incident.

On Aug. 1, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jay Dean Budden II, 24, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor warrants for assault and failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court. At about 11:15 p.m., Budden reportedly ran from deputies who tried to make contact with him as he walked in the area of Northfield Avenue and Tommie Drive. Deputies chased Budden to a residence in the 3800 block of John L Avenue and found him in a shed in the backyard. He said he ran because of the warrants, but a search reportedly revealed a pipe with burnt marijuana residue, marijuana and a white crystal substance. Budden was taken into custody without further incident.

On Aug. 2, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Anthony James Stevens, 20, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. At about 4:25 p.m., deputies contacted Stevens as he walked on Lass Avenue toward Lomita Street. A consent search reportedly revealed a syringe.

On Aug. 2, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Cynthia Joan Rotondo, 43, of Kingman on felony charges of fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation issued by Kingman Municipal Court. At about 3:30 p.m., deputies responded to a business in the 2000 block of Northern Avenue regarding a woman trying to use a counterfeit $100 bill. The woman left that business before deputies arrived, but a short time later deputies were again called to a business on Northern Avenue regarding a woman attempting to use a counterfeit bill to purchase items. Deputies took Rotondo into custody and a search reportedly revealed a counterfeit $100 bill and $20 bill. She told deputies a friend gave her the bills. Deputies also reportedly found two small plastic bags of methamphetamine and a record check revealed the warrants. Rotondo was taken into custody without incident.

On Aug. 6, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to the Mohave County jail regarding a report of vandalism. Inmate William Jack Ward, 40, of Lake Havasu City, reportedly broke a window inside his cell. He faces a felony charge of jail destruction/injury to jail in addition to several felony theft charges related to allegations he and another man robbed a Bullhead City jewelry store on Jan. 3.
