Old Golden Valley fire station could be your new home

KINGMAN - Interested in buying a four-bedroom home with plenty of office space and a huge garage? The Golden Valley Fire Department may have just what you are looking for.

The fire department is considering selling its station located at 3327 N. Mayer Road in Golden Valley. The district replaced the old station earlier this month with a new one on Bacobi Road.

Fire Chief Tom O'Donahue said the board will approve the sale and set the asking price for the building at its Aug. 21 meeting. A commercial appraisal of the building has already been completed and is available at the district's main office on Mayer Road.

According to a notice posted on the district's website, the old station sits on 1.05 acres of land and is 4,369 square feet in size. The property is also completely fenced.

It also features three fire truck bays, several offices, four bedrooms, a lobby, two restrooms, a kitchen and an emergency power generator.

The sale includes the district office building next door, which is a 1,050 square-foot mobile home that was converted into offices. It includes three offices, a lobby, a kitchen, one restroom and a detached storage building.

The property is zoned general commercial/highway business and residential. The property also has hook ups for natural gas, electric and a septic system.
