Lillie Mae Long, 88, of Sun City, Ariz., passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in Sun City. She was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Texas to Minnie and William Glenn.
She moved to Kingman over 30 years ago from West Covina, Calif., and worked at Kingman Regional Medical Center in the Laundry. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Lillie is survived by three children, Mary Owens, Vivian Mitchell and Glenn Long; her grandchildren, Jennie Edwards, Beverly Brand, Shannon Arnold, Michael Mitchell, Dawn Long, Ricky Long and J.T. Long; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer Long; her children, Marvin Long and Susie Long; and her grandson, Lee Hofer.
There will be a celebration of her life for family and friends at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at 2340 Eastern St., Kingman. It will be potluck; please bring a dish to share.
Lillie was an amazing person, always loving and kind. There was no better mother on this earth.
