Letter of thanks: Pat Bremmer

Residents of Kingman and your neighbors - thank you!

Thank you for coming to our aid when we were involved in a horrific truck-meets-semi at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, on Interstate 40 when the front tire of our truck blew, causing us to cross the median into the path of oncoming traffic.

My son, who was killed, saved our lives by turning the lock-up wheel as much as he could, leaving him to take the full impact of the crash.

You were there immediately to do what you could for the other four of us. The paramedics were professional and quick. The emergency staff was amazing in their speed to diagnose and treat. Dr. Malish, the nurses (I can't remember all your names) Sarah, Khristine, Ernest (Ernesto?) and Morgan were caring and gentle. Genelle, the physical therapist, the occupational therapist who had moved from Berkeley, the head of nursing in the ICU, the phlebotomists, the ladies from the outside who made our exit smooth and speedy, thank you one and all. To the clerk at Hampton Inn for your kindness to my daughter and grandson. To the pharmacist at Walgreen's and the clerk at Walmart for helping my husband pick out Mickey Mouse pajamas for my trip home - you all will be my angels forever.

Kingman Regional Medical Center is a wonderful facility. I was fortunate to be there. I know the care I received will move my recovery along quickly. Words alone cannot express my gratitude. Please know they are heartfelt.
