KINGMAN - Kingman Regional Medical Center welcomed Dr. Lyudmila Philips to its medical staff this month. As a family medicine doctor, she meets a crucial need for primary care physicians in the Kingman community.
Philips provides medical care to male and female patients of all ages. Philips received her doctorate in medicine at Uzhgorod State University in Uzhgorod, Ukraine. She moved to New York City to be near family and worked as a certified medical assistant for 10 years. During this time, she assisted otolaryngology, urology and pediatric physicians in treating their patients. With this experience, she decided to begin her own physician practice in the United States and completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
According to Philips, her work in different medical settings allows her to address a range of conditions.
"I listen closely to my patients and try my best to explain things in ways they'll understand. I never want someone leaving my office feeling confused and wondering what to do next," she said.
Philips joins family nurse practitioner Milda Rodgers at Music Mountain Family Medicine, 1739 Beverly Ave., Suite 106 in Kingman. She accepts new patients and takes most insurance plans, including Medicare and AHCCCS.
