A Bullhead City woman allegedly asked her boyfriend to murder her estranged husband, but he contacted police instead.
The boyfriend got in touch with police on Jan. 26 and an investigation that reviewed conversations between him and his girlfriend, 31-year-old Danissha Avery Allred, was launched.
Through the investigation, detectives learned that Allred allegedly wanted her boyfriend to murder her husband prior to a Feb. 5 custody hearing regarding their one child, said Bullhead City Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt.
Allred reportedly provided her boyfriend with photos of her husband, addresses where he could be found, his work schedule and vehicle information after detectives started investigating her.
"The boyfriend was very concerned about the welfare of (Allred's) children," Fromelt said.
Allred allegedly told the boyfriend in the past that she wanted to kill herself and her three children, Fromelt said.
The boyfriend faces no charges. Detectives arrested Allred on Feb. 1 and charged her with solicitation of first-degree murder.
