Richard Hernandez, 18, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. He is the son of Richard and Deanna Hernandez of Kingman. Richard said he felt blessed and honored to be chosen by the Rotary Club. For his presentation to the club, his topic was bullying awareness. Some of his honors, awards and extracurricular activities include: Mohave Community College honors in the summer and fall of 2012, HOSA member and NHS member. He has worked for R&D Cleanup and at Redneck's Southern Pit Barbecue, helped coach Little League and spent 180 hours in community service. Richard plans to earn a bachelor's degree in chemistry and major in forensic science, then obtain a master's degree in criminal justice. His career plan is to become a crime scene investigator/forensic scientist. He said he is very thankful for all that Rotary does for the community.
