Kingman Letter: Would like to see a better MCC

Hi, my name is Brad. I am a born and raised Kingman Knight and say it with pride; I don't care what you say. I graduated Kingman High School and left town to pursue my dream of playing soccer at the next level. I struggled to get on a team even at the junior college level mainly because I had no clue what I was getting into. After I did my two years playing soccer for Glendale Community College, I moved back to focus on my career choice. Coming from the valley and seeing how big junior college can get, it was a very big disappointment enrolling at Mohave Community College.

I didn't even know we had a junior college league in Arizona growing up, and it would have been a big relief knowing all the options I had for in-state education. We really need to make improvements to our campus here in Kingman. I would love to see us have a real junior college like Yavapai or Arizona Western.

Not only will this give the community a better higher education center, but it would also bring in students from all over Mohave County and the rest of the state, and possibly recruit sports players from overseas and all around the country.

It's just my opinion, but I think it's time we thought about where we want to be 10 years from now and get the ball rolling.

I don't know if this will make it to anyone important, but thank you for your time and please spread the word.
