Kimberly Ann Sherwood, born Feb. 16, 1956, at Fort Bragg, N.C., a longtime resident of Kingman, died tragically in a house fire on Friday, July 12, 2013.
Kim was a talented musician and artist. She shared her love of music with the world as a singer, performing as Misty Summers with several bands and found great joy in entertaining.
She loved all of God's creatures and had a special place in her heart for all of her four-legged friends. She was a student of psychology and was in the process of creating a grief therapy group at the time of her death.
Kim will be forever remembered by husband, Andy Blair; children, Richard (Helena)Cross, Kelly Bielke, Jeremy (Beth) Sherwood and Cody (Tiffany) Sherwood; mother, Ann Stern; sister, Kathi (Tom) McNamara; and brother, Brian (Stuart) Jenson.
She was a loving grandmother to 23 treasured grandbabies and one great-grandbaby along with countless other friends and family whose lives she touched.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Sonny (James) Cross and most recently by her precious grandchildren Dylan and Colton.
Kim touched the lives of many people with her smile, music and generosity. She always saw the best in everyone and will be remembered for her kindness, unbreakable spirit and heroism.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2101 Harrison St. Kingman.
