Route 66 fire destroys structures

KINGMAN - Fire burned two small vacant structures and an older model motor home just after midnight Monday.

By the time crews with the Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District responded to the property in the 4500 block of Route 66 within minutes of the 12:14 a.m. alarm, the vehicle and structures were burning out of control.

Fire was venting through the roof of the motor home, according to Chief Patrick Moore.

Moore said firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and took measures to prevent it from spreading to a neighboring business.

No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation, said Moore.

Property loss was estimated at less than $5,000.
