Hobby Lobby Wins One Against the Unholy Obama Administration
If you are a crafter, I hope you will go the extra mile (literally) to give your business to Hobby Lobby. Hobby Lobby has faithfully stood up against the unholy alliance of the Obama Administration and Kathleen Sebelius's Health and Human Services Department.
Two rulings this week. First, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Hobby Lobby can continue it's lawsuit against the Obama administrations contraception mandate on religious grounds.
Following this, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma ruled the feds must halt all enforcement of the sterilization-contraception-abortifacient mandate and related financial penalties against Hobby Lobby, a Christian based company. Hooray for our side (meaning us Christians and the Founders), a couple of victories against the incredible overreach of this very demonic administration who pushes all things to do with the taking of life of the unborn while we on the other side stay on the side of life, ie: God's side.
Hobby Lobby and it's sister company Mardel are suing the Dept. of Health and Human Services and Kathleen Sebelius, arguing against paying for health insurance that offers abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization and contraception as being a violation of their religious liberty.
U.S. District Judge Joe Heaton concluded Hobby Lobby made a sufficient showing to warrant the issuance of a temporary restraining order in the existing circumstances against Sebelius and HHS, their agents, officers and employees who are ENJOINED and RESTRAINED from any effort to apply or enforce, as to plaintiffs, the substantive requirements imposed by the mandate. So said part of Judge Heaton's order.
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty represents Hobby Lobby. They stated for the first time a federal court has ordered the government NOT to enforce the HHS abortion drug mandate. This came one day after a dramatic 168-page ruling from the 10th Circuit recognizing business owners have religious liberty rights.
The terrible choice Hobby Lobby and the Green family were facing was that of violating their own faith or paying massive fines starting next Monday. For now, they have been spared this unjust burden on their religious freedom by two courts. This is a landmark decision, that denying them the protection of federal law just because they are a profit making business conflicts with the Supreme Court's free exercise precedent.
For all those non-Christian or atheist posters on the Miner who consistently believe Christians ram their views down the throats of others, this is a classic case of how very wrong you have been and how it has been just the other way around for a very long time now. It is open season on Christians.
