Shaun Wootten, 18, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. He is the son of Heidi Earley of Kingman. Shaun said he felt honored by the Rotary's selection of him as a Student Rotarian and feels his high standards in the areas of academics, civics and leadership have been achieved by their recognition. He spoke to the Rotary Club about leadership. Shaun's extracurricular activities, honors and awards include: president, track and field (Most Improved - 2012 and varsity); president, cross country (Most Improved - 2010 and 2011 and varsity); and secretary, National Honor Society. Shaun plans to further his education at a four-year university and pursue a dual degree in biomedical and chemical engineering. He wants to become a biomedical engineer and work in the medical field developing medicines or vaccines.
