MCSO responds to plane crash south of Wikieup

KINGMAN - A small airplane crashed with at least three people on board late Thursday morning about 50 miles southeast of Kingman, according to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.

Dispatchers at about 11:30 a.m. took a call from a "young male" who said their plane crashed with him and his parents onboard.

Search and Rescue units, deputies, and ground and aerial units from the Department of Public Safety responded to the crash site near milepost 32 on Highway 93 and about 11 miles east of the highway. The plane was a fixed wing aircraft.

Guardian Air and River Medical subsequently responded to the scene of the crash.

There is no word on the condition of any of the passengers. Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter said additional information would be forthcoming.
