Kingman letters: A slave to the water company

I wish I had a vote.

I live in the county. I have lived here for 15 years and the water bill has been between $20 to $30, and it is still about the same.

The sewer charge is $50 and it is still climbing. I went to the Subway shop for a $5 foot long - it cost me $5.54. That is an almost 11 percent tax. Where is the money going?

I am like most people who live on a yearly cost of living increase. I get 1 or 2 percent. The people who run the city government get raises on my sewer charge. I have a choice of three different companies to pick up my garbage, but I am a slave to the water company.

If I had my way, I would vote the city manager out of office. Taxation without reparation and no accountability. The Arizona Corporation Commission is doing a good job on keeping my gas and electric bills under control, and I can vote them out.
