The Kingman Fire Fighters Association and the United Professional Firefighters of Kingman L4191 would like to thank everyone involved in making this year's Firefighter Fundraising Fishing Derby one of the most successful events we have hosted. All proceeds from this event go toward Kingman Area Scholarships. This year, we raised $2,000 that will go directly to graduating high school seniors in the Kingman area. Without the continued support from our sponsors and entrants, the event would not be as fun or as successful as it has been.
A very big thank you goes out to the following people and businesses for their support and generosity: Fred and Carol Proudfoot (Benchmark Plumbing) for hosting the awards banquet year after year; The Hoppers (Hopper's Hauling) for providing the plaques and support; Freiday's Construction; Yavapai Plumbing and Heating; Blue Moon Transportation; and UniSource Energy as the main sponsors of this year's event and for their generous contributions year after year.
Additional thanks to First Due Fire Protection, Canyon Plastics, Dora's Deli, Sparkletts, Kmart, Ridgeview Dental, True Value, Kingman CrossFit, Century 21 Chuck Casson, Sun Valley Bumper, Western Medical Eye Center, Cerbat Golf Course, The Gardens Care Center, Firehouse Nutrition and Health, Dr. Gochocho Urgent Care, Taco Bell, Walmart, Slightly High Maintenance, Desert Construction and Gustafson Chiropractic. Thank you to Nicole Burke, Bob Casson, Chris Weaver and Janner Greenhow for the help before, during and after the event.
And thank you to Don Martin for writing about our fundraiser event on the Nature Page of the Kingman Daily Miner. We received several calls about the event due to the Nature Page article.
Again, on behalf of the Kingman Firefighters Association and the United Professional Firefighters of Kingman, thank you and see you all next year!
