Kingman Police searching for subjects in possible hostage/robbery attempt

KINGMAN - Two suspects had to make a fast getaway after an employee at a fast food restaurant refused their order for some fast cash Friday.

Kingman Police are looking for a blond woman in her late teens driving a charcoal gray 1990s model Oldsmobile with a spoiler or fin and her male passenger. The man is described as having dark hair and wearing a black bandanna and dark shirt. The woman has curly hair that is swept up into a bun and was wearing a blue and green sweater. The vehicle was last seen driving northbound on Townsend Avenue.

Officers aren't sure if the attempted robbery was a hostage situation or prank.

According to KPD, the woman drove up to the drive-thru window at a fast food restaurant in the 3300 block of East Andy Devine Avenue and handed an employee a note. The restaurant employee told police that it looked like the man in the passenger seat had a gun. The note demanded money or the driver would be harmed.

The car fled the scene without any money before police arrived.

Anyone with information about either suspect or the vehicle should contact the Kingman Police department at (928) 753-2191 or Mohave Silent Witness at (928) 753-1234. Residents can also report tips online by clicking on the "Report a Tip" link on KPD's website, www.kingmanpolice.com.
