Hospital opens new clinic to prepare patients for surgery

KINGMAN - Kingman Regional Medical Center has opened a preoperative clinic, which provides a place to prepare patients who are scheduled for surgery.

Most patients will visit the clinic three weeks prior to their surgery. During the visit, a health care provider will evaluate the patient's medical history and complete diagnostic testing. The patient will also meet with a health care provider to discuss options for anesthesia as well as pain relief following the operation. The patient will also receive specific instructions for necessary preparations prior to surgery.

"With this new service, our patients will be better equipped with the information they need to ease the stress of surgery, improve their overall experience, and recover more quickly and safely," said Brian Turney, KRMC's CEO.

The KRMC Preoperative Clinic is located at the Medical Professional Building, Suite 103 on the KRMC campus. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information about the clinic, contact your doctor or call the clinic at: (928) 681-8728.
