KINGMAN - The Kingman Police Officers Association holds fundraising activities throughout the year and donates the money that's collected to local charities and organizations.

Several local families will benefit from the latest project now that the association has partnered with Redneck's BBQ to provide them with Thanksgiving dinners.

According to Detective Brian Zach, the association's president, each family will receive a turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, beans, vegetables and rolls.

Zach said the families were given a gift certificate to present to Redneck's BBQ.

The association's next fundraiser will occur at Walmart from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, and this time Santa Claus will get in on the action.

Santa will be available for photographs on those days in exchange for any monetary donation or gift of a non-perishable food item.
