KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men armed with shotguns in separate incidents Wednesday.
In the first, deputies arrested Robert P. O'Brien, 71, of Dolan Springs on felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful imprisonment, and a misdemeanor charge of misconduct involving weapons.
Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Pierce Ferry Road at about 11:40 a.m. and spoke with the alleged victim, a 53-year-old woman who resides on the same property as O'Brien.
She said O'Brien parked his truck behind her vehicle, preventing her from driving away, opened her car door and pulled her from her car.
The woman told deputies O'Brien grabbed a shotgun from his truck and "waved the weapon around."
He left before deputies arrived, but was taken into custody without incident shortly afterwards at a residence in the 14000 block of Frontier Drive.
In the second incident, deputies arrested Eric J. Mayberry, 47, of Prescott, on two felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Deputies responded to a home in the 2600 block of Leroy Avenue in Kingman at about 7:40 p.m. Mayberry, who was outside, told deputies he believed people inside the home were "doing drugs."
Deputies spoke with the alleged victim, a 28-year-old female, who told them Mayberry yelled at her before he took a shotgun from his vehicle and threatened her. She was holding her baby at the time.
Deputies found the shotgun in Mayberry's truck and he was taken into custody without incident.
