Letter: Dental care south of the border

A few days ago, my wife and I went to our dentist in Los Algodones, Mexico. We go there any time we need dental work done. At different times when we have been there we have talked to other people who were from different states, especially in the winter. They were from states all over from up north to the Midwest. They said that they can't afford dental care where they live.

It is really the pits when people have to go to another country because they can't afford it in the states. The dentists in the states will probably say they have heard horror stories from people who have gone to Mexico. I have heard a lot of horror stories from people who have gotten messed up with dentists in the United States.

We have been going to Los Algodones for over 10 years. There have been a lot of people who have asked me for cards. I have talked to people who have dental insurance and still have to pay a lot.

A while back my wife needed to go to the dentist. She call when the snowbirds were there. It was three weeks before she could get in. There are a lot of people who go there.

If you are wondering if the dental place is clean, it is absolutely spotless. They are as clean as our doctors' offices here.
