Kingman Regional Medical Center and Altius Healthcare celebrated the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Outpatient Infusion Center at KRMC recently with cake and ice cream.

KRMC contracts with Altius to provide therapy for patients who have to take their medications through an IV or their food through a feeding tube. Many of these patients don't need to be in the hospital to receive care, but still need a nurse to help administer their medications, said Altius CEO Kevin Nestrick.

The center provides them with a comfortable place to come for treatment without a hospital stay. Altius also offers infusion care for patients who may not be able to leave their homes, he said.

The company also takes a variety of insurances, including the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.

Nestrick started the company 10 years ago while living in Bullhead City.
