KINGMAN - River Cities United Way is organizing a cleanup for downtown Kingman and other parts of the city from 6-8:30 a.m. Saturday in advance of the International Route 66 Festival.

More than 100 volunteers from Boy Scouts, church groups and service organizations are expected to participate in the cleanup, said Laura Hansen, community associate for River Cities United Way. They'll be cleaning up downtown, Stockton Hill Road, Airway Avenue and Route 66.

Register online at www.rivercitiesunitedway.org under "Day of Caring." Waiver forms and trash bags provided by the city are available at the United Way office, 2202 Hualapai Mountain Road. Assignments will be given today at the office.
