Grover Edgar Smith, 71, passed away Nov. 20, 2014, in Kingman, Ariz. He was born Oct. 7, 1943, to Clovis and Helen Smith in Ava, Mo. Grover came to Kingman from Sacramento, Calif., and was a resident of Kingman for 29 years.
He graduated from San Juan High School and joined the Army. He served six years and rose to the rank of sergeant. He worked in janitorial service, and then was in management at the Flying J before retiring. He loved fishing, camping and birds.
He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Smith; daughters, Debbie Hankins, Brenda Cassidy, Stephanie Brazell (Bill), Jeanette Imboden (Ned); a son, Christopher Smith (Tiffany); a brother, Larry Smith (Joann) of Florida; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Desert Church of Christ, 2345 Gordon Ave. Burial will take place at a later date.
