OGDEN, Utah - Idaho State's Lindsey Reed has been named the Big Sky Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the games played Jan. 27-Feb. 2.
Reed, a senior from Kingman High School (2010) averaged 18.5 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead Idaho State to wins over Sacramento State and Northern Arizona.
On Jan. 30, the Lady Bengals hosted the Hornets and Reed helped Idaho State hold Sacramento State to 37 points below its season average.
Reed was the key ball handler against the Hornets' press and had just three turnovers. The guard grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds to go along with 14 points and four assists in the 62-53 win.
On Saturday, Reed had 23 points, six rebounds, six assists and a steal to help ISU defeat Northern Arizona, 82-72. Reed was honored prior to the NAU game by Idaho State for becoming only the 17th Lady Bengal in school history to score 1,000 career points and only the 14th with 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds.
