Sarah Harker, 18, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. She is the daughter of Jeff and Patty Harker of Kingman. Sarah said her selection as a Student Rotarian for the month of February is an honor. She has enjoyed serving in the community and she is planning to continue serving others. For her presentation to the Rotary Club, she discussed how your faith can be bigger than your fear. She gave examples from her personal life of when she had to let her faith be bigger than her fear. Her extracurricular activities, honors and awards include: SADD Club member, vice president of the HOSA Sports Medicine, S-Club, NHS, and Link Leaders. She is a waitress and crew chief at IHOP, where she has worked for two years. After Sarah receives her degree in nutrition from Arizona State University, she plans to work in a hospital or doctor's office. She wants to help people lengthen and save their lives through teaching them how to eat right.
