Frances Ellouise Bowers, born June 20, 1932, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Dec. 20, 2013. Frances is survived by her husband of 51 years, Andy Bowers; daughters, Debbie Standlee, Cathy Hutchison and Karen Mitchell; and son, Jimmy Bowers; three step children, Ronnie, Linda and Mike; her loving sister, Audie Keene; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Fran was born and raised in Louisiana, met and married Andy in Dallas, Texas and spent a good portion of her life in Kingman raising her children. She was beautiful inside and out and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was always patient, loving and kind, and full of hope, grace and mercy.
Fran and Andy spent their retirement traveling around the country as missionaries constructing churches and schools with Hard Hats for Christ, True Foundation Builders and Southwest CBA. While Andy was doing all the heavy lifting, Fran enjoyed meeting new people, holding craft classes and preparing meals for all of the staff. She never met a stranger and her smile would light up an entire room.
A celebration of her life was held at Manzanita Baptist Church on Dec. 28. She will be missed dearly.
