Felony drug charges

On Jan. 3, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Lee Williams, 57, of Kingman, Sara Jayn Compton, 37, and Teela Kristine Renee Sonday, 29, both of Golden Valley, on felony drug charges. A fourth person was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court. Williams was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. Compton and Sonday were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Thompson Avenue at about 12:30 p.m. A record check revealed the status of Williams' license and that his truck's registration was expired. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed there was methamphetamine in the truck. Each of the four was taken into custody without incident.

Aggravated assault

On Jan. 2, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Lopez Figueroa, 35, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated assault.Deputies responded to an assault call in the 3000 block of McVicar Avenue shortly after midnight. The caller and alleged victim, 49, told deputies he woke up when Figueroa knocked on his back door and struck him in the back of his head when he answered. The man's head was lacerated, according to deputies, but he refused medical treatment. Figueroa responded to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office the next day at about 11:30 a.m. He told deputies he struck the man, his friend, after being struck. He was taken into custody without incident.

Possession of drugs

On Jan. 3, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Amanda Michelle Mayfield, 32, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. Deputies reportedly spotted Mayfield driving when they knew her license was suspended in the 3700 block of John L Avenue at about 10:45 a.m. She was taken into custody without incident and a search of her vehicle allegedly revealed she was in possession of methamphetamine.

Drugs

On Jan. 3, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Russell Long Robinson, 22, of Kingman, on felony charges of possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies observed a vehicle speeding through a residential area and followed it until it turned into a driveway at a residence in the 3100 block of Lass Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. Robinson, the driver, appeared to be "dazed," according to deputies. He refused to give deputies consent to search his vehicle and a K9 handler was called to the scene. Thor alerted his handler and the subsequent search allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal residue and a pipe with burnt marijuana residue. Robinson was taken into custody without incident. His passenger was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Dangerous drugs

On Jan. 3, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Susan Marie Sessoyeff, 44 and Gilbert Henry White, 49, both of Kingman. Sessoyeff was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. White was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, both felonies, and on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies stopped the pair in the area of Hearne Avenue and Norrie Drive at about 11:30 p.m. Sessoyeff reportedly attempted to conceal something during the stop and she was made to exit the car. A consent search allegedly revealed she was in possession of a white crystal substance and record check showed both Sessoyeff and White had active warrants. A search of the vehicle reportedly revealed a marijuana pipe and a bag containing methamphetamine were in the car. They were taken into custody without incident.

Suspended license

On Jan. 7, Kingman police officers arrested Dustin Paul Burke, 38, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated DUI and misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of a crash, along with two misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Justice Court and Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. Police responded to the 100 block of Sunrise Avenue regarding a hit and run with the suspect walking away on foot. Burke's unoccupied and locked vehicle was discovered on Sunrise Avenue at about 7:15 p.m. He was found walking in the 3400 block of Stockton Hill Road a short time later and taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Drugs

On Jan. 8, Kingman police officers arrested Willard W. Campbell III, 38, on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor probation violation warrant. Officers were investigating vandalism that occurred at downtown businesses and spotted Campbell in an alley when he reportedly fled on foot. Campbell was apprehended and taken into custody on the warrant. A search allegedly revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine and the associated paraphernalia.
