Elisa Santos, 17, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. She is the daughter of Angelica Barraza and Gaspar Santos of Kingman. Elisa said she felt shocked to be chosen as a Student Rotarian. She is proud that members of the Rotary Club would choose her.
For her presentation to the Rotary Club, she discussed her involvement in the Link Leader Club and what it is about. Her extracurricular activities, honors and awards include: softball (grades 9-12), basketball (grades 9-11), volleyball (grades 9-10), leadership (grade 11), Link Leader (grade 12), National Honor Society (grade 12), Boys and Girls Club (grades 10-11), perfect attendance (grades 9-11), yearbook (grade 9), newspaper (grade 9), top English student (grade 9), Executive Award (grades 9-10), top algebra student (grade 9), Microsoft specialist (grade 11) and the MASA program.
Elisa would like to go to Occidental College in Los Angeles and study forensic science and criminal justice. Her career plans include becoming a crime scene investigator in a big city, such as Los Angeles.
