Robert F. (Bob) Kanthack, 82, of Amherst, Va., passed away on Dec. 28, 2013, at the UVA Hospital.

Bob was born July 21, 1931. He was the husband of Shirley A. Kanthack for 62 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donato and Frederick W. Kanthack; an infant daughter, Laurie Kanthack; a brother, Frederick C. Kanthack; and a sister, Elizabeth A. McGibboney.

Bob lived in Kingman from 1971 to 1979 and worked for General Cable and the Mohave County Maintenance Department.

Besides his wife, Bob is survived by two sons, Frederick P. (Cynthia), and Robert W. (Carrie), Kanthack of Kingman; three daughters, Ann E. (Richard) Robinson of Brandywine, Md., Paula M. (Michael) Clemons of Edmonton, Ky., and Margaret J. (Peggy) Kanthack (Roger), of Amherst; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a devoted brother in-law, Roy L. (Tammy) Anhalt of Kingman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other devoted relatives and friends.

A Christian memorial service will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Amherst on June 28, 2014.
