Marvin L. Creek, 76, passed away on Jan. 23, 2014, in Kingman. He was born in Morrison, Tenn., to Odus and Ethel Creek on April 29, 1937. Marvin came to Kingman 34 years ago from Yuma.
He graduated from Yuma High School. Marvin loved gardening, woodworking, the Dallas Cowboys, the Arizona Diamondbacks, old westerns, John Wayne classics and especially spending time with his family and reminiscing. He was a veteran; an airman in the U.S. Navy. He was also a crew chief for drill rigs and was in the surveying crew for the U.S. government.
Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Odus and Ethel Creek; and brothers, Melvin and Howard Creek.
He is survived by his sons, Marvin Dale Creek of Reno, Nev., and Randy Paul Creek of Yuma; daughter, Cindy (Jason) Heatley of Yucca; sister-in-law, Pat Creek; nephews, Will Creek, Don Creek and Bodie Creek, Tim Creek and Andy Creek; grandchildren, Brandon Creek, Jessica Branch, Rocky Joe Creek, Justin Creek and Nicole Shamon; and great-grandchildren, Zodia Creek, Tristian Creek and Harmony Baca.
Marvin donated his body to Science Care to help with medical research. He was a beloved father, grandfather and uncle.
