ASA tournaments ruled by Insanity

KINGMAN - The Bullhead City Insanity softball club took the 14U and 16U Arizona ASA Girls J.O. State championships over the weekend at Centennial Park. Insanity 14U went 5-0 to win their crown, and the 16U squad finished 4-0.

The Kingman Krush 10U team presented the hometown with the only chance for a title when the championship rounds began Sunday. Needing only one win, the Krush fell short as the Colorado River Rockets beat the Krush twice to win it, 11-3 and 16-4. Krush finished 2-4 for the tournament.

The Krush 12U girls advanced to winner's bracket championship Saturday but dropped their last two games to finish in third place. Krush went 3-3 over the weekend.

The Kingman Sidewinders 16U girls went 2-3. They beat the Prescott Lady Hawks twice, 10-2 and 8-6. When they met the third time, however, it was the Lady Hawks prevailing (14-12) to advance to the championship against Insanity.

The 14U Sidewinders had the most difficult run in the tournament, dropping all four of their games.
