Dust on Sunday; forecast calls for rain today, possibly severe

KINGMAN - The forecast in Kingman lists a 50 percent chance of rain this afternoon, and the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch starting at 9 a.m. for areas in northwest Arizona, as well as nearby Nevada and California.

According to the NWS, upper level disturbances could organize strong thunderstorms today and tonight, as "plenty of moisture" is in place across the Southern Great Basin and Mojave Desert.

Areas of flood concern in northwest Arizona include Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and northwest deserts and northwest plateau.
