KINGMAN - Kingman Fire Capt. Rink Gordon places protective equipment on a 15-year-old boy who became stranded Sunday evening while rock climbing on White Cliffs Road.

According to Battalion Chief Bill Johnston, Gordon was lowered to the teenager by rope and then the two of them were lowered safely to the ground.

Johnston said the boy sustained minor abrasions but was otherwise unharmed.

He became stranded about 150 feet up the face of a cliff while climbing with friends.
