Amanda Williams, 18, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. She is the daughter of Annie Snelling of Kingman. Amanda said she felt honored to be selected as one of the few 2013-2014 Rotarians. It is very rewarding for her to get recognized in high school as an excellent student. For her presentation to the Rotary Club, she discussed music and how it inspires her. Her extracurricular activities, honors and awards include: Cross-country from 2011-2013, National Honor Society from 2012-2014, math and science awards (biology, geometry, pre-calculus), attendee at Girls State (through the American Legion Auxiliary) and HOSA from 2012-2014. Amanda is planning to go to Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She plans on entering the health care field and majoring in nutritional sciences. She also says she will attend medical school after Weber and aspires to become a surgeon.
