Cherry Niel, 17, a senior at Kingman High School, was recently chosen as a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. She is the daughter of Lucy Jennings and Monte Niel of Kingman. Cherry said she felt honored to be chosen as a student Rotarian and she is thankful to the Rotary Club. For her presentation to the Rotary Club, she chose to discuss the arts and happiness. Her extracurricular activities, honors and awards include: marching band (drum major), Band Club (president and vice president), Drama Club (secretary), International Thespian Troupe No. 4044, color guard, National Honor Society, ITS AZ Thespian Festival Best Costume Construction, various music/science/math awards, and she is a student at the quarter for the arts department. Cherry is planning on attending the University of Arizona. She will be majoring in space physics.
