Final (unofficial) election results

KINGMAN - The unofficial final numbers of Tuesday's election stayed the course with the preliminary numbers.

Rep. Sonny Borrelli and Dr. Regina Cobb, both Republicans, earned 27,596 and 26,574 votes, respectively, to easily prevail over Democratic candidates Joe Longoria, 9,345, and Beth Weisser, 9,345.

Stuart Yocum maintained his lead over Kent Simmons in the lone City Council race. Yocum finished with 2,259 votes to Simmons' 1,971.

Mohave County District 4 Supervisor Jean Bishop, a Republican, was elected with 5,770 votes, or 71.8 percent, over Democratic conservative Jack Ehrhardt with 2,240 votes, or 27.9 percent.

The two ballot questions on the ballot specific to Kingman - home rule and the general plan - passed easily. Voters approved home rule by more than 1,000 votes, 3,124 to 2,036.

The general plan passed by more than 700 votes, 2,852 to 2,133.

Duncan Borden: 634 - 22.10%

Earlene Mahar: 483 - 16.84%

Louis Tranka: 233- 8.12%

x - Jean Bishop 5,770 - 71.78 percent

Jack Ehrhardt 2,240 - 27.87 percent

Voter turnout was pegged at 35.61 percent, with 41,877 ballots cast out of 115,597 registered voters.
