Robert "Bob" Borland, 62, of Kingman, succumbed to cancer at his home surrounded by his family, friends, and his hospice nurse Sherry on Nov. 2, 2014.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Victoria; sons Jacob, Nickolas, Jeremy, Alan and Robert "Bobby"; daughters Lissette, Zarife, Ana and Nellie; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Bob was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
Bob loved sports and worked as a high school baseball coach for 40 years until he was forced to give up the career he loved due to his illness. He enjoyed watching and playing sports with his children and many pets. He was also a senior juvenile probation officer in Kingman, and worked with the Kingman Police Department and Mohave County Sheriff's Office for 13 years.
Bob holds a very special place in the hearts of the many foster children that he helped raise in his home through the years. He was a true father to each of them, even beyond their time in his home.
A special thank you to the Kingman Hospice for their loving care and support. Also thank you to Sutton Memorial Funeral Home for all of the arrangements. Memorial services were held at the LDS Church on Detroit on Nov. 6, 2014.
