KINGMAN - Kingman Regional Medical Center encouraged the community to participate in its "Go Pink" challenge by decorating workplaces and dressing in pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Redneck's Southern Pit BBQ went the most pink, decorating the entire dining area and participating in the October Pink Out Block Party, thus earning an 8-foot tall LED lit pink ribbon to hang outside every October to show their support.

KRMC's goal was to raise awareness of this deadly disease and to stand united with all the businesses in Kingman supporting the fight against breast cancer.

Breast cancer is a growing epidemic among women. In 1960, one in 20 women was diagnosed with breast cancer. Today, it has become one in eight women.
