KINGMAN - UniSource Energy Services has scheduled a brief power outage Tuesday in northwest Mohave County while improvements are made to the system that will provide greater service reliability, the company said.
The planned outage will last about 10 minutes sometime between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday and will affect about 4,400 customers in Chloride, Dolan Springs, Meadview, White Hills, Temple Bar and Willow Beach, though not all customers will lose power.
Field crews will install new poles and wires and make other upgrades to a portion of a transmission line. The work will continue for up to eight weeks. UniSource will announce another brief outage to restore the system after improvements are complete.
UniSource provides electric service to about 93,000 customers in Mohave and Santa Cruz counties.
