On Oct. 5, I was shopping at Basha's Supermarket. When I was ready to leave, my car wouldn't start. One man came over and asked if I needed help, then a second, then a third. After they decided that my battery was out of water, they used their own tools to get into the battery, since I didn't have any tools in my car.
One man used his bottle of water to fill the battery; the second used his jumper cables to get the car started. The first man took my groceries back into Basha's to be refrigerated, and when the car was started, he went back and picked up the groceries for me.
These three good Samaritans then sent me on my way. I did not get their names to thank them, but I want to say "thank you for your kindness to a senior citizen" to these three.
How lucky we are to live in this caring community!
