COLORADO CITY - Two brothers, 17 and 14, have been charged with sex crimes involving two Colorado City girls.
The incident allegedly occurred earlier this month and the alleged victims are 10 and 12 years old, according to Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter.
Detectives submitted juvenile referrals regarding the brothers, charging the 17-year-old boy with felony counts sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of child molestation. The younger brother was charged with a single count of child molestation.
Detectives, said Carter, determined the older boy had sexual contact with the 10-year-old girl and inappropriately touched the 12-year-old. They allege the younger boy inappropriately touched the 12-year-old.
The incidents allegedly occurred at a home in the 500 block of Pioneer Street. Detectives began their investigation Monday when a caller told them the 10-year-old had been sexually assaulted by a family member.
